Stretching Able Readers
An interactive course for class teachers, librarians, literacy coordinators, academically more able coordinators and other interested key stage 2 and 3 staff. We will explore the needs of able readers, identify methods to engage and challenge them through reading, and examine appropriate resources and ways to exploit them effectively
Trainer: Anne Harding,  a specialist in children’s and young people’s reading and children’s and school libraries

Making the Most of Topic Loans
A practical course for primary teachers and other staff on the role of topic loans and effective ways to use them to support teaching and learning across the curriculum including more understanding of the value of Schools Library Service topic loans, ideas for lesson plans, ideas for nurturing creativity and reading for pleasure.
